Before founding Chelney Law Group PLLC, Mr. Chelney was a litigation partner at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP and Bracewell LLP, having also practiced in the New York offices of Shearman & Sterling LLP and Dewey Ballantine LLP. He established the firm to deliver senior partner-level focus, strategic agility, and elite advocacy on high exposure matters.

Mr. Chelney regularly serves as lead counsel in federal and state courts nationwide—including the New York State Supreme Court’s Commercial Division and the Delaware Court of Chancery—as well as before major domestic and international arbitral tribunals. He also represents clients facing inquiries and enforcement actions before the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Department of Justice (DOJ), and other regulatory bodies.
